Fresh Cool Summer Drink You’ll Love
With the heat of summer comes the need to stay hydrated for optimal health. We admit that while drinking plain water is truly the best bet, it sure is nice to have a flavorful beverage to enjoy either alone or with friends. We’ve put together a couple of delicious drinks you’re sure to love – and guess what, they don’t contain any added sugar or alcohol and easy to make!
Watermelon Agua Fresca
This is a popular drink in Mexican restaurants and it’s so easy to make! Use the fruit you enjoy the most, but here’s a hint – it’s super good with watermelon! Try adding some mint leaves to your glass after you pour it.
- 6 cups cold water
- 2-3 cups watermelon
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Add the watermelon, lime juice, and water to a blender and puree completely.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the mixture into a pitcher.
- Serve cold.
Stay cool this summer and protect yourself from dehydration and heat-related illnesses. If you’re out and about, take water with you in a bottle so you always have some within reach.
