Q: What is coronavirus?
A: Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness in animals or humans. Q: I’ve seen a lot of information about the disease that has turned out to be false, where can I go for accurate information?
A: This is a fast-moving disease and researchers are trying to quickly learn more about the virus to provide guidance to the public. The WHO has set up a “Myth Busters” page to dispel some of the common misinformation that is being spread. Please visit this page.
Q: What is the best way for me to stay up-to-date and well-informed on the pandemic?
A: Many media outlets – including the New York Times and Washington Post – have made their stories on the coronavirus available to everyone without having to subscribe, and you can also sign up for their daily newsletters. Mail Order and COVID-19 According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. associated with imported goods. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.

Q: Can you provide any assurance that the packages will be coronavirus-free?
A: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Public Health Agency of Canada have publicly stated that coronaviruses cannot survive the length of time it takes to deliver a package by mail, and new research indicates that the virus will not last more than 24-hours on cardboard in which medications are shipped. The risk of spread from products shipped over a period of days or weeks at room temperature is very low.
Q: Will there be any delays getting my prescriptions?
A: Currently, travel restrictions and the cancellation of flights is impacting delivery times but we understand that orders are being delivered.
